The Holly Cemetery is located southwest of
Bremerton close to the Hood Canal.
T24N R2W Section
19. Northeast corner
of Section 19. Seabeck-Holly Rd & Dewatto Rd W.
Driving Directions: Follow Seabeck-Holly Rd south
towards Holly. Holly Cemetery is on the left, at corner of Seabeck-Holly Rd & Dewatto Rd W. A short blacktopped driveway
goes up into the wooded area where the cemetery is located. The Holly cemetery was last transcribed by the Puget Sound Genealogical Society Cemetery Project on
July 21, 2009. The half acre piece of land for this cemetery was donated to
the community in 1895 by Robert Wyatt Sr., 1845 – 1900. The Holly Cemetery Trust was set up by a donation of $10,000.00
from Randy Clark. Through the years the Trust has had the cemetery surveyed; a chain link fence installed around the cemetery
and has blacktopped the driveway.
There is no plot map for the cemetery.
Pioneers such as William Anderson and his Indian wife Mary, Robert Wyatt, Christian Pfundt and William Hole are among those
resting in this old cemetery. The Cemetery Trust erected a totem pole at the gravesite of Indian Mary and it is said
that every so often someone leaves a little medicine pouch at the base of the totem pole.
