The Burley Cemetery was last transcribed by the Puget Sound Genealogical Society
Cemetery Project in 2010.
The Burley Cemetery is on Willows Road in South Kitsap about a half mile from
the Kitsap/Pierce county line. Early records indicate that this cemetery was founded by the Burley Cooperative Brotherhood
Colony about 1898. The written records were destroyed in a house fire so only those burials with existing headstones are identified
in this transcription.
It is now a Community owned
Cemetery that is still occasionally used and for the most part, the main portion of the cemetery is not overgrown and looks
like it has been tended for within the last few years. The latest burial was in 2007.
