We will be offering Beginning Genealogy with Janet Camarata via Zoom starting Saturday, March 6th, 9:30am to 12 Noon. 9:30-10am: time to check in on Zoom. Class will start at 10am. (Zoom link will be provided at a later date.)
Feb. 24, 2021 (Wed) - PSGS Monthly Meeting (via Zoom). 1pm-3pm. Our speaker will be Megan Churchwell, Curator at the Puget Sound Navy Museum. Her topic will be "Preservation Principles for Genealogists." A short business meeting will follow her presentation.

Feb. 13, 1pm-3pm - Seattle Genealogical Society: How Healthy is Your Family Tree: Discovering Health Issues with Janice Lovelace. An In-depth look at building a health genogram starting with a traditional genealogial pedigree chart. Also, a basic overview of DNA, epigenetics, & inheritance of health issues.
Feb 13, 1pm-2:30pm. Skagit Valley Genealogical Society: How I Got to Where I Am - A Case Study: From County Cork to Skagit Valley presented by SVGS member Mike Hurley.
Feb 19, 10am -Noon. Bainbridge Island Genealogical Society: Mapping an Ancestor with Janet O'Conor Camarata. Check their website for the details and Zoom link.
Feb 20, 10am-Noon. South King County Genealogical Society: Chronicling America for Everyone A Newspaper site presented by Dana Palmer. Using online search engines can be tricky! Learn techniques to find elusive ancestors in newspapers on Chronicling America. Basic and advanced search techniques will be discussed, including tricks for Fraktur type and diacritics. Locating newspapers in print, microfilm and repositories will be covered.
Feb 22, 1pm-3pm. Rogue Valley Genealogical Society: X-DNA Inheritance Chart with Lorita Cushman. (first of a series on DNA) You have your DNA test results? Now what? Did you just receive your test results from a holiday gift? Or have you had them for a while but aren’t sure what to do with them? Lorita will share some tips and tricks for getting the most out of your test results.
