The first meeting of this group was on Monday, November 5, 2007, at Dorothy and Don Lindquist's home,9093 Glenwood Rd. SW, Port Orchard.  The committee consisted of Sandie Morrison, Jeanne Menchenton, Ann Northcutt,  Terry Mettling, Larry Harden, Don and Dorothy Lindquist.  The work on selecting the records, copying the pages needed and entering the information into a database was begun.  It will take many months to complete the task.  If you would like to help with this project let us know.  We plan to meet every Tuesday in November and beyond, and we would welcome your help.

 

 

The first phase of copying records is completed and we are now ready to proceed with entering the information into a database program.  We need more volunteers to help with this task.  This is a job you can do at home.  We will provide a jump drive or flash drive for you to save the data and we can then download it to the master file.

 

We are typing the information into Microsoft Access database, but if you are using Microsoft Excel we can convert the files into Access.   If you would like more information please let us know.  Jeanne Menchenton is the chairperson of this committee.
